2016 wird das Internationale Jahr des globalen Verstehens Ereignis

Am 13. September 2015 riefen in einer gemeinsamen Erklärung das International Council for Science (ICSU), das International Social Science Council (ISSC) und das International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH) das Jahr 2016 als International Year of Global Understanding aus. Das internationale Themenjahr wirbt für ein besseres Verständnis von lokalen und globalen Zusammenhängen und regt zur Unterstützung für politische Initiativen an, die sich globalen Herausforderungen wie beispielsweise dem Klimawandel, der Ernährungssicherheit oder der Migration annehmen.

On 13 September 2015 the International Council for Science (ICSU), the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH) jointly announced today that 2016 would be the International Year of Global Understanding (IYGU). The aim of IYGU is to promote better understanding of how the local impacts the global in order to foster smart policies to tackle critical global challenges such as climate change, food security and migration.
