Russland entert Greenpeace Schiff Arctic Sunrise Ereignis

Nach einer Protestaktion von Greenpeace-Aktivisten in der Arktis stürmte am 19. September 2013 die russischen Küstenwache das Greenpeace-Schiff Arctic Sunrise. Nach Angaben der Umweltorganisation seilten sich mit Maschinenpistolen bewaffnete Männer von einem Hubschrauber auf das Schiff ab und enterten das Schiff, obwohl sich die Artic Sunrise außerhalb russischen Hoheitsgebietes in internationalen Gewässern befand.

On 19 September 2013, the Russian Coast Guard boarded the Greenpeace International ship Arctic Sunrise and arrested the 25 activists on board following a protest against Gazprom’s Arctic oil drilling operations. At the time of the boarding, the Arctic Sunrise was circling Gazprom’s Prirazlomnaya platform at the three nautical mile limit, inside international waters.
