Die EU-Kommission hat am 19. Juli 2011 die ersten sieben EU-Systeme zum Nachweis der Nachhaltigkeit von Biokraftstoffen anerkannt: ISCC, Bonsucro EU, RTRS EU RED, RSB EU RED, 2BSvs, RSBA und Greenergy. Diese Anerkennung gilt unmittelbar in den 27 EU-Mitgliedstaaten.

On 19 July 2011, the Commission has recognised seven voluntary schemes for biofuels: ISCC, Bonsucro EU, RTRS EU RED, RSB EU RED, 2BSvs, RBSA and Greenergy. This recognition applies directly in 27 EU Member States. Voluntary schemes are control systems that certify sustainability of biofuels. Companies importing or producing biofuels have to demonstrate that their biofuels are produced in a sustainable way.
