European Commission joins Climate and Clean Air Coalition Event

Die Europäische Kommission schloss sich am 24. April 2012 der "Climate and Clean Air Coalition" an. Die Initiative setzt sich für eine beschleunigte Verminderung von Emissionen der kurzlebigen Klimagase wie Ruß, Fluorkohlenwasserstoffe und Methan ein. Der Beitritt wurde auf einem Treffen in Stockholm am 24. April verkündet. Neben der Europäischen Commission traten Kolumbien, Japan, Nigeria, Norwegen und die Weltbank der Koalition bei.

The European Commission has joined the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, a new international initiative to accelerate the reduction of emissions of short-lived climate pollutants such as methane, black carbon (soot) and hydrofluorocarbon gases (HFCs). The meeting convened in Stockholm, Sweden, from 23-24 April 2012, and welcomed Colombia, Japan, Nigeria, Norway, the European Commission and the World Bank as new partners.
