Umweltbundesamt schlägt fünf Anthracenöle für EU-weite Zulassungspflicht vor Ereignis

Am 3. August 2009 nominierten zum zweiten Mal die EU-Mitgliedstaaten der Europäischen Chemikalienagentur (ECHA) besonders besorgniserregende Chemikalien für eine Zulassungspflicht nach REACH, der EU-Chemikalienverordnung. Es gingen 14 Vorschläge ein, davon fünf aus dem Umweltbundesamt (UBA). Das UBA schlägt der EU vor, für fünf Anthracenöle eine Zulassungspflicht einzuführen. Die aus Steinkohle gewonnenen Anthracenöle gehören zu den Polyzyklischen Aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen (PAK). PAK verbleiben generell lange in der Umwelt, reichern sich in der Nahrungskette an und sind giftig.
